POISON Singer Talks About Having Hospital Room In Phoenix Named After Him (Video)

POISON frontman Bret Michaels is donating TVs and sound systems for a waiting room at the St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was treated in April 2010 for a brain hemorrhage. The equipment will allow families to relax and listen to music. In return, the waiting room is being named after Michaels.

Michaels was rushed to St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in April 2010 after suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage. The brain hemorrhage left the musician in critical condition and hospitalized at Barrow for several days. He returned to St. Joseph's in January to undergo a heart procedure to close a hole in his heart.

Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is an internationally renowned medical center that offers care for people from throughout the world with brain and spine diseases, disorders and injuries. It includes the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. U.S. News & World Report routinely lists St. Joseph's as one of the top 10 best hospitals in the nation for neurological and neurosurgical care.
