POISONBLACK: Finnish Dates Announced

POISONBLACK — the Finnish band featuring former SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala — has scheduled a number of headlining dates in its home country immediately following its European tour with DARK TRANQUILLITY and FEAR MY THOUGHTS:

Dec. 18 - Kino, Pori
Dec. 19 - Henry's Pub, Kuopio
Dec. 20 - Kellari, Joensuu

"A Dead Heavy Day", the new album from POISONBLACK recently entered the Finnish chart at position No. 6. The album was made available as standard CD, LP plus bonus CD as well as limited-edition CD plus bonus DVD containing a "Making Of A Dead Heavy Day", the video for the single "Rush" (taken from the band's 2006 effort "Lust-Stained Despair"),and seven songs filmed at an exclusive semi-acoustic gig at Radio Mega in the band's hometown of Oulu.

Italian news blog Musica Metal recently conducted an interview with POISONBLACK drummer Tarmo Kanerva. The ten-minute chat can be streamed at this location (click on the "play" button to launch audio).

POISONBLACK in 2006 entered the Finnish national album chart with its sophomore CD, "Lust-Stained Despair", at position No. 2.
