POISONBLACK Singer: New Album Will be 'Dirtier, Rougher'
April 19, 2004POISONBLACK/SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala has commented on the musical direction of POISONBLACK's sophomore album, tentatively due in early October through Century Media Records.
"The new one has the same spirit and theme that was on [the debut album, 'Escapextacy'], but presented with a lot more dirtier and rougher sounds without forgetting the melodies," he said. "But if you are waiting for a soft goth-rock album you'll be surprised."
As previously reported, 2003's "Escapextacy" featured the vocal talents of CHARON frontman Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto. Juha-Pekka's touring and recording commitments with his main band eventually forced him to quit POISONBLACK, but not before completing all the touring activities in support of the group's debut CD.
