Police Make Arrests After SEVENDUST, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Concert

February 24, 2007

According to The Post-Star, police made 11 arrests late Thursday (Feb. 22) and early Friday (Feb. 23) during an effort to root out underage drinking among attendees of Thursday's "The Red Black and Blue Festival" — featuring performances by SEVENDUST, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DRAGONFORCE, CHIMAIRA and DIECAST — at the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, New York, officials said.

Four people were charged with underage drinking, five with having an open container in public, one for urinating in public and one for drunken driving by officers checking the Civic Center parking lots and parking lots around the center, Glens Falls Police Capt. Kevin Conine said.

A concert attendee who refused to leave the Civic Center parking lot was subdued with a Taser stun gun after he fought with police officers who were trying to arrest him for disorderly conduct. He also was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, Conine said.

Otherwise, police reported no problems of significance as a result of "The Red, Black and Blue Festival".
