Police Still Looking For Two Men Who Killed Former ANGELLIC RAGE Singer
February 12, 2009"America's Most Wanted" (AMW),television's top crime-fighting show, is spotlighting the case of Paul Stitt (a.k.a. Paul Vee),the former lead singer of the 1990s Denver, Colorado-based metal band ANGELLIC RAGE who was shot and killed in Las Vegas in July 2008 during a liquor store robbery.
Stitt was found dead behind the counter at the Liquor Outlet on Washington and Nellis in Las Vegas around 9:15 p.m. on July 8. Police are still on the hunt for his killer.
Police say that two African-American men were seen running away from the store, hopping over a wall and getting into a dark-colored Crown Victoria. The men were not wearing disguises.
A man who identified himself to police as the victim's half-brother, Paul Smith, said his brother was working alone and had only been working at the liquor store for eight months. Paul Stitt often told his brother that working at the liquor store at night by himself made him nervous.
Paul Vee left behind his two dogs, his brother, and his mother, who lives out of state.
The surviving former members of ANGELLIC RAGE reunited for a special memorial show last August honoring Paul Stitt. Pete Snow from the band CORE handled the vocal duties at the gig alongside Alex Vota (guitar),Rick Trefry (guitar),Kevin Martinez (guitar),Jim Strickler (bass),Miles Marlin (bass),Mike Crisler (drums) and Bobby Brott (drums).
