POP EVIL: New Audio Interview With LEIGH KAKATY

June 5, 2012

Brian Rademacher of RockEyez recently conducted an interview with vocalist Leigh Kakaty of Grand Rapids, Michigan hard rockers POP EVIL. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.

POP EVIL's latest album, "War Of Angels", came out last July to much critical praise. The CD was helmed by Grammy Award-nominated producer/engineer Johnny K, who has previously worked with MEGADETH, DISTURBED and SOIL, among others.

The band will embark on the "Trespass America Festival" tour in July/August with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM, EMMURE, GOD FORBID and BATTLECROSS.

POP EVIL's "Boss's Daughter" video can be seen below. Featuring the likes of Playboy playmate Jessa Hinton and the song's co-writer Mick Mars of MÖTLEY CRÜE, the clip was directed by Nathan "Karma" Cox, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, BLACK VEIL BRIDES and MARILYN MANSON, among many others.

Fast cars, hot women and good ol' American rock and roll are three main ingredients that make up POP EVIL, and all of the above hits you square in the jaw in this new video.

"This video is the best depiction of the energy we bring during our live performance," says Kakaty. "Mick and Jessa were terrific to work with! Nathan and his crew made a killer all-American rock and roll video."

POP EVIL is Leigh Kakaty (lead vocals),Chachi Riot (drums),Davey Grahs (guitar) and Matt DiRito (bass).
