POP EVIL To Film 'Monster You Made' Video
June 7, 2011American rock band POP EVIL will film a music video for the track "Monster You Made" today in Chicago with critically acclaimed director Robby Starbuck (TIMES OF GRACE, AUGUST BURNS RED, SILVERSTEIN, A STATIC LULLABY, A SKYLIT DRIVE). The song comes off the group's long-awaited new album, "War Of Angles", which will be released on July 5 via eOne Music. The CD was helmed by Grammy Award-nominated producer/engineer Johnny K, who has previously worked with MEGADETH, DISTURBED and SOIL, among others.
"We are very excited to release 'Monster You Made' as the follow-up single to 'Last Man Standing'," POP EVIL frontman Leigh Kakaty says. "This song depicts what 'War Of Angels' is all about! Nothing puts a bigger smile on our face then getting the chance to say July 5th marks 'War Of Angels' release day!"
According to a press release, POP EVIL went as far as to tear up its old record contract on stage during the band's performance at the Rock On The Range festival last month before announcing its new home. SPIN.com hailed it one of the "10 Best Moments of Rock on the Range."
POP EVIL has enjoyed early success with its hit single "Last Man Standing" which peaked at No. 5 on the active rock charts.
"War Of Angles" is the follow-up to "Lipstick On The Mirror", which came out in 2008.
