PREJUDICE Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement

July 30, 2006

Belgian death metallers PREJUDICE have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Greco [bass] and PREJUDICE have decided to part ways. This was no slap in our face because we saw this coming since a couple of months! The reason for his departure was that his heart was not in extreme death metal anymore, or better said, metal in general. He will not stop playing the bass. He will focus on jazzy stuff but not full-time in a band anymore. We wish him luck in his further musical career, whatever the hell [he'll] be doing. We can only thank him for the enormous amount of effort and enthusiasm he's always put in the band the past two years. He'll always remain a part of the team, and it sure will be hard to find a replacement. But that will not hold us down for our future plans with the band!

"Knowing this, the band chose to initially go on as a four-piece until we have found a suitable replacement for this vacant spot. And as from today, interested bass players can drop us a line at [email protected]." Important requirements are:

* have own gear
* be willing to tour
* permanent motivation
* have a good stage presence, professional attitude

PREJUDICE can offer you:

* recordings at Excess Studio, Rotterdam for upcoming full-length (January 2007)
* band is currently signed to Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records
* tours, mini-tours and single gigs are always being scheduled

PREJUDICE's re-releases of its previous albums (1996's "Broken Promises" [featuring the band's demo as bonus], 2001's "Reality" [which will be remixed] and 2003's "Dominion of Chaos" [re-mastered]) through Sleaszy Rider Records have been delayed until September "because of the heavy delay in the layout department," according to the band.

PREJUDICE recently announced the addition of session drummer Cristophe Piette (SOLIPSIST, MOTHRA) to the group's ranks. The band will enter Excess studio in Rotterdam, Holland next January to begin recording its fourth album, tentatively due in the spring of 2007. Mixing duties will be handled by Tue Madsen at Antfarm in Aarhus, Denmark.

Regarding what the fans can look forward to on the upcoming CD, the group said, "Expect nothing less then 'Dominion of Chaos' we'll raise the benchmark of 'Dominion of Chaos' to a higher brutal extreme level."
