PRIESTESS: New Video Interview With MIKEY HEPPNER Available

December 15, 2008

HardTimes.ca conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Mikey Heppner of the Montreal, Quebec, Canada foursome PRIESTESS on December 13, 2008 in the band's hometown. Watch the eight-minute chat below.

PRIESTESS recently finished recording its second album in Los Angeles with producer Dave Schiffman (ANTI-FLAG, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, SYSTEM OF A DOWN). The follow-up to 2006's "Hello Master" will be released in early 2009. "Coming from a dude who has only made one record prior to this one I'm still going to say it's the best shit we've ever done, and we can't wait to put it out!" said Heppner.

After leaving the studio, PRIESTESS toured Canada and the Northeastern U.S., performing new material from the upcoming album.

PRIESTESS spent 2008 on the road, converting new fans while opening for MASTODON and playing a number of summer festivals with IRON MAIDEN. The band's popularity continues to reach an even wider audience, thanks to the inclusion of its song "Lay Down" on the extremely popular video game Guitar Hero. The snarling blast of relentless energy and infectious riffs pushed the song onto the iTunes singles chart.
