PRIMAL FEAR Added To ICED EARTH's European Tour

December 17, 2003

German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR have been confirmed as direct support for ICED EARTH on their upcoming European headlining tour. Opening the show at all dates will be Finnish melodic power metallers THUNDERSTONE.

"Sometimes a band has to make decisions — a lot of people could be happy, some not," PRIMAL FEAR write in an official statement announcing their addition to the tour. "After days of negotiations, discussions and talkings between our live-management, record company, promoters and of course the band, we have to make a final decision and we accepted ICED EARTH's management's offer to join the metal tour of the year!

"Yes, PRIMAL FEAR will join ICED EARTH on their European tour through 11 countries as special guest plus opening act and labelmates THUNDERSTONE. After one night of sleep, we're damn proud to be part of this tour, 'cause we believe it was a right decision in the spirit of metal. It was not an easy move for us and we have to thank especially all the promoters for their understanding, even more the other bands [who were scheduled to open for PRIMAL FEAR on their European headlining tour] — the ROB ROCK BAND & BRAINSTORM. For our fans in Slovenjia and Hungary — we're working hard to re-schedule the shows for April/May, but we will promise to play these shows!

"In the end, it was the best solution for the metal fans, for the future of PRIMAL FEAR and for our new album 'Devil's Ground'. We promise to prepare a mixed up song programme for the tour, with a lot of new songs and some classics."
