February 5, 2015Fan-filmed video footage of PRIMAL FEAR's performance aboard the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which set sail Thursday, January 22 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and returned to the real world on Monday, January 26, can be seen below.
Brazilian drummer Aquiles Priester (HANGAR, ANGRA) made his live debut with PRIMAL FEAR on December 20, 2014 at the Knock Out Festival in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Priester joined PRIMAL FEAR in September 2014 as the replacement for Randy Black, who left the group a month earlier.
The Canadian-born Black announced his departure from PRIMAL FEAR effective August 16, 2014, one day after the band's performance at the Summer Breeze festival in Germany. His exit from the group was attributed to "irreconcilable differences" between the drummer and PRIMAL FEAR vocalist Ralf Scheepers, but no further details were given.
Black joined PRIMAL FEAR in 2003 and played on the band's last six studio albums beginning with 2004's "Devil's Ground".
PRIMAL FEAR's tenth studio album, "Delivering The Black", was released on January 24 in Europe and January 28 in North America via Frontiers Records. The follow-up to 2012's "Unbreakable" landed at position No. 16 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
