PRIMER 55 Signs With CRASH MUSIC

June 21, 2007

Crash Music has announced the signing of PRIMER 55. The label will release a two-disc digipack constisting of an audio CD featuring a collection of unreleased tracks and a DVD of rare concert footage.

Guitarist Bobby Burns (currently the bassist in SOULFLY) had the following to say on signing with Crash Music: "Just knowing that all the folks at Crash are fans of PRIMER 55 made it an easy decision for me to make." Crash A&R man Rob Bolger added: "PRIMER 55 has accomplished great things and we are very happy to be working with them."

PRIMER 55 was formed in 1997 in Memphis, TN. Guitarist Bobby Burns co-founded the band with vocalist J-Sin, who added a more hip-hop flavor to the mix. The two enlisted the help of friends Mike "Jr." Christopher on bass and Josh McLane on drums. They soon gained an underground following from their intense live performances and the group was offered a contract with Island Def Jam. The band hit the ground running, touring with acts such as SLIPKNOT, STAIND and SEVENDUST, while also sharing stages with the likes of GODSMACK, P.O.D. and OZZY OSBOURNE as part of Ozzfest. The band ended up selling over 200,000 units combined of their albums.
