PRIMER 55 Signs With THC:MUSIC/ROCKET SCIENCE VENTURES

Atlanta-based band PRIMER 55 featuring Bobby Burns (guitar, bass, vocals),The DRP (vocals),Heath Shaw (drums),and Mattytime (bass) has signed a worldwide distribution deal with THC:Music/Rocket Science Ventures. The group's's self-titled LP will be released on March 13. The effort will be preceded on February 14 by "The Big F.U.", a retrospective B-sides and rarities collection, featuring nearly 20 tracks from PRIMER 55's classic lineup, including the band's long-out-of-print independent LP "As Seen On TV", as well as a comprehensive collection of demos and B-sides from "(The) New Release", and "Family For Life".

After relasing three albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s, PRIMER 55 went on hiatus while Burns focused on recording and touring with SOULFLY as the band's bassist, a position he held until 2010. In 2007, PRIMER 55 reformed to release "Family For Life", afer which original vocalist J-Sin left the band and Milwaukee MC The DRP soon came into the fold.
