PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGE: Performance Footage Of New Song Available
April 27, 2009Video footage of U.K. black metallers PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGE performing a new song, "The Godless Chambers", at Winterfest in Cork, Ireland can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's forthcoming second album, "Celebrating Impending Chaos", which was mixed and mastered by none other than Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR).
A five-minute montage of some of the best bits from "Celebrating Impending Chaos" is available for streaming on the PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGEMySpace page.
The band, which is currently seeking a suitable label to release the CD, describes the new material as "diverging from the traditional black metal style slightly" and featuring "influences ranging from the epic death metal of NILE to the beautifully misanthropic noise of PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGE's fellow countrymen ANAAL NATHRAKH and THE AXIS OF PERDITION. A dose of '70s progressive rock may just be heard bubbling away, whilst chaotic thrash riffs weave in and out of melodious and highly atmospheric black metal."
PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGE's debut album, "Traversing the Awesome Night", was released in the U.S. in April 2007 on Open Grave Records.
