PRIMORDIAL Drop Off X-MASS FESTIVALS 2005 European tour

September 12, 2005

Irish dark metal masters PRIMORDIAL have cancelled their participation in the upcoming X-Mass Festivals 2005 European tour (featuring EXODUS, HYPOCRISY, WINTERSUN and NAGLFAR). "We simply felt there was no point in us opening up for 25 minutes to half-empty halls and playing three songs, which it looked like being, so we have jumped ship, and it seems will play with MORBID ANGEL, UNLEASHED and ENSIFERUM and two more [acts yet to be announced] from December 1 [until December 13... unless the Gods stand in our way," the band write on their web site.

PRIMORDIAL's fifth full-length album, "The Gathering Wilderness", was released last February through Metal Blade Records.
