PRIMORDIAL: 'Imrama' Reissue Detailed
January 9, 20092008 was a great year for Irish dark metal masters PRIMORDIAL. After the release of their magnum opus, "To The Nameless Dead", in late 2007, the band played shows and festivals all over Europe and gained loads of new fans.
The Pagan metallers have lots of plans for the New Year, including a tour through North America and the writing of a new album. Apart from that, the band will reissue its catalog during the year. All reissues will be made available in high-quality packaging and will include bonus material.
The reissue series starts with PRIMORDIAL's debut album, "Imrama". Recorded in late 1994 and originally released by Cacophonous Records in the autumn of 1995, it already displayed the band's sense for overwhelming melodies, epic drama and total commitment, wrapped in a raw sound with a much stronger black metal influence than is apparent in the band's more recent output. The reissue comes as a double CD, including the remastered album plus unreleased demos and live recordings, packaged in a precious black linen slipcase with glossy golden hot foil print, containing a six-page digipak with the original artwork, the two CDs and a 16-page booklet with new liner notes and additional photos.
