PRIMORDIAL To Release New Album In November

August 7, 2007

Vocalist Nemtheanga of the Irish dark metal masters PRIMORDIAL has posted the following update on the group's official web site:

"So the battle is half over….the [new PRIMORDIAL] album remains only to have the lion's share of vocals done and then mixed and mastered. The projected release date is in November on Metal Blade…. I still haven't been hit with an album title yet though, everything I think of is either too blunt or too damn angry right now. In true PRIMORDIAL fashion it has to be something open to interpretation. It will come.

"The album sounds massive so far, Chris at Foel Studios has done a sterling job so far. Being able to all jam together, do as much live as possible and use loads of old analog gear has made a massive difference. Being removed from the madness of a big city for the first time has also been a great help, no distractions. You have nothing else to do but focus on the music.

"I did, however, curse the Gods by saying in the last message how much I was looking forward to stepping out into the sunshine after a take. By the end of the week I even had a damn cold the weather was so bad. It has rained apparently at least part of everyday now for nearly 60 days…It rained and it rained and fucking rained and I think if we had booked the studio even one week later we might not have been able to get to the studio from Liverpool with the flooding that has been ravaging the U.K. for the last few weeks. By the grace of the Gods themselves.

"Apart from that the picture disc of the demo looks like coming out first of the ones I mentioned before that we are planning with the Sentinel version of 'The Gathering Wilderness' not far behind. The first 100 of the picture disc look like being a special edition with a limited shirt so to find out the details email No Sign of Life.

"Finally we are playing Party.San Open Air on Saturday the 11th. We are a late addition/replacement for someone or other. Before GRAVE and after MELECHESH in the early evening. Should be a good way to round off the summer and book end the recording of the new album."
