PROFUGUS MORTIS has posted performance footage of a new song, "This Round's On Me", filmed on February 2 in Ottawa, Ontario. Watch the clip below.

PROFUGUS MORTIS recently parted ways with violinist Émilie Livernois. According to the band, "This decision was mutual and not an easy one to make considering everything we've done together over the years. Unfortunately, it was becoming more and more clear to us that she was losing her motivation to be in this band, and for all those who play in a band you know that there's nothing more infuriating than having someone around who isn't giving their 100%. [In late January] we went to practice with every intention of asking her to leave but in the end she had decided that this was also the best course of action."

The group added, "We are still hard at work on the new record which is coming along very very well. I can tell you with all confidence that this will slay our first record in every way. Contrary to what some have thought, the new material will not be affected by Émilie's departure seeing as she did not contribute to the songwriting process."

PROFUGUS MORTIS' debut album, "…So It Begins", was released in March 2007 through Prodisk Records.

A new demo song, entitled "In Time", can be streamed on the group's MySpace page.
