Progressive Metallers MEMFIS Enter Swedish Chart At No. 20

September 15, 2006

Swedish progressive metal band MEMFIS has entered the official album chart in its home country at position No. 20 with its debut album, "The Wind-Up".

MEMFIS was founded in the spring 2003 in Kristinehamn, Sweden. Two demos were recorded in 2004 and resulted in top-rated reviews and a co-operation with Dental Records.

In a recent interview, Swedish producer/multi-instrumentlist Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, PAN THY MONIUM) praised MEMFIS as a "really, really good band" that "must be checked out by fans of OPETH and similar."
