PROJECT 86 To Enter Studio In January

December 25, 2006

Orange County, California-based post-hardcore act PROJECT 86 will enter a Los Angeles studio in January with producer Ulrich Wild (DEFTONES, STATIC-X, TAPROOT) to begin recording its new album for a late spring release via Tooth & Nail Records.

Commented vocalist Andrew Schwab: "Six albums deep, we want people to feel a little unsettled when they put on this record. Whereas '...And the Rest Will Follow' [2005] was a small jump from our previous releases...more melodic and emotional, etc., this album will both fulfill and and destroy previous expectations. We want to balance our staple sound, memorable songwriting, and patented energy with a lot of experimentation. I think old fans will still have enough to grab a hold of, but those who think they know what a PROJECT 86 record is supposed to sound like will be surprised."

In other news, PROJECT 86 has posted two exclusive remixes of "...And The Rest Will Follow" tracks, including a new version of "From December", featuring guest appearances by UNDEROATH's Timothy McTague on drums and ANBERLIN's Joey Bruce on guitar. Check them out on PROJECT 86's MySpace page.
