PRONG Bassist Checks In From METAL CRUSADERS TOUR

June 6, 2006

PRONG bassist Mike Longworth is currently on the road with old-school thrashers SPEED\KILL/HATE on the Metal Crusaders Tour, which kicked off May 26 in Montreal, Quebec. Longworth is filling in for regular SPEED\KILL/HATE bassist Derek Tailer, who was unable to do the tour due to "personal reasons." Longworth has checked in with the following report:

"We're in Cincinatti today on the Metal Crusaders Tour and it's 6/6/06!!! The tour has been going well besides the fact that our drummer hurt himself the day before we had to leave for the tour. We got a new guy and started the tour a few days late. When we met up with the tour in NY our bus had no air conditioning and it was 95 degrees. 3 days into the tour we got a new bus and everything is working well. All the bands are great... DESTRUCTION is amazing. Touring with all these Europeans has been nuts... Nonstop drinking!!! They say our beer is like water, hahah. Keep checking www.speedkillhate.com for video updates on the tour. Don't miss this show if it's in your town!!! "

In addition to SPEED\KILL/HATE, the Metal Crusaders Tour features performances by VADER, KATAKLYSM, DESTRUCTION, GRAVEWORM and THE ABSENCE.

SPEED\KILL/HATE recently signed a deal with Escapi Music. The band's debut album, "Acts of Insanity", which was released in the U.S. today (June 6),features current OVERKILL axeman Dave Linsk and Mario Frasca on vocals (of note, OVERKILL drummer Tim Mallare and OVERKILL guitarist Derek Tailer play on the album as well).

"Acts of Insanity" was originally issued in Europe in February 2005 via Listenable Records. A video for the song "Face the Pain" was filmed on April 6, 2005 with director Anthony M. Bongiovi of TBJ Entertainment, Inc., who has previously worked with SLAYER ("War at the Warfield" DVD),MARILYN MANSON ("Guns, God & Government" DVD),AC/DC and GODSMACK, among others.
