PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS Announces North American Distribution Deal

January 28, 2008

Prophecy Productions has teamed up in North America with Season of Mist, Caroline (USA) and FAB (Canada) for distribution of its releases. The label's introductory releases into North America — DRAUTRAN's "Throne of the Depths", FARSOT's "IIII", and HELRUNAR's "Baldr Ok Iss" — will be made available on April 29.

Prophecy Productions began in 1996 in Zeltingen-Rachtig, Germany. Its focus was and always will be to release high-quality "eerie-emotional music," i.e. dark, emotional music of all varieties, in an aesthetically satisfying manner. With nearly 100 lavishly packaged releases to its name, Prophecy has always prided itself on both quality and quantity, offering listeners two other branches of the label: Lupus Lounge, specializing in black metal, pagan metal and beyond; and Auerbach Tonträger, specializing in contemporary folk music in the widest sense of the word, and thus also covering the so-called neo-folk genre. As a result, Prophecy has introduced to the world such unique and groundbreaking acts as EMPYRIUM, THE VISION BLEAK, DORNENREICH, TENHI, IN THE WOODS…, GREEN CARNATION, SECRETS OF THE MOON, ORPLID, ALCEST and ANTIMATTER. In 2008, Prophecy plans to release further new CDs by NEGURA BUNGET, TODESBONDEN, KLIMT 1918, DORNENREICH, TENHI, and SECRETS OF THE MOON.
