PROTEST THE HERO Drop Off SILVERSTEIN Tour

March 11, 2008

PROTEST THE HERO's frontman Rody Walker has posted a letter to fans on the group's MySpace page announcing that the band is pulling off their current U.S. tour with SILVERSTEIN to regroup at home.

"It is my unfortunate duty to inform you all that we will not be continuing on the SILVERSTEIN tour. While on tour recently, we realized our internal structure was built on a whimsical foundation. We have become a disorganized touring band, and it's left the five of us exhausted and miserable. Ergo, we are revamping, whipping our team into shape, polishing our rims, straightening our brims, and making a stab at semi-professionalism. Though dropping a tour may seem like a very unprofessional thing to do, we need this time to get our shit back on track. “

PROTEST THE HERO released its sophomore album, "Fortress", on January 29, 2008 and will return to the U.S. on April 1 to begin a North American tour with CHIODOS. The Whitby, ON quintet has touring plans in the U.K., Europe and Japan before coming back to the States to perform on the entire Vans Warped Tour this summer.
