PROTEST THE HERO: New Song Posted Online

PROTEST THE HERO, a radical five-piece band from Whitby, Ontario, has posted its new single, "Sequoia Throne", on the group's MySpace page. The song comes off the band's sophomore Vagrant release, "Fortress", which will be in stores January 29, 2008. "Bloodmeat", the opening track on "Fortress", is also available today on iTunes (in Canada only).

Fans can check out a teaser clip of behind-the-scenes footage from the "Bloodmeat" video shoot below. "Bloodmeat" can already be heard in rotation on the Sirius Satellite Radio channel Hard Attack.

PROTEST's MySpace page also reveals the stunning new artwork for "Fortress". The cover image is a riff on the Irish goddess of the forest, Flidais. The band has previously stated that "Fortress" does not revolve around a single concept, like "Kezia", their 2006 debut, but is instead more closely akin to "goddess worship in the tradition of Robert Graves."

PROTEST THE HERO will be on the road for a solid two months, with U.S. dates alongside SILVERSTEIN, A DAY TO REMEMBER, and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA beginning February 21 in Worcester, Massachusetts and currently wrapping March 30 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
