March 17, 2009

Guitarist Christopher "Arpmandude" Arp of the Rochester, New York-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS will be interviewed on "Sudden Death Overtime: Metal Morning Mayhem" on 89.7 FM WITR in Rochester, Tuesday March 17 at 8:00 a.m.

Hosted by "Ragin'" Ron, "Sudden Death Overtime" is the longest-running metal radio show in Rochester, New York. The show recently moved to a new timeslot and is now on every weekday morning from 7 to 9 a.m.

You can listen to the program live via the Internet at this location.

"Odd Senses", the new album from PSYOPUS, sold around 800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 90 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Video footage of PSYOPUS performing a new song, "Medusa", on February 7, 2009 at The Engine Room in Tallahassee, Florida can be viewed below (clip uploaded by "whatfuckingever444").

As previously reported, PSYOPUS has tapped bassist Brent Glover (BELLICIST, ex-RECIPROCAL) as the temporary replacement for Michael Horn, who reportedly quit the band in January.

PSYOPUS last year announced the addition of singer Brian Woodruff (AS THIS BODY, I EXIST) to the group's ranks.
