PYRAMAZE Is 'Still Very Much Alive And Kicking'

August 27, 2009

Keyboardist Jonah Weingarten of Danish/American metallers PYRAMAZE has issued the following update:

"The band is still very much alive and kicking. We are currently working on material for our new record, but progress has taken a little bit more time than we had expected. This is due to several of the band members having expanding families and various other work-related obligations. I, for one, will be welcoming my daughter into the world this November."

"You can all look forward to [vocalist] Urban Breed (TAD MOROSE, BLOODBOUND) kicking some serious ass on his debut with us!"

PYRAMAZE is also currently searching for a new label home.

Urban Breed joined PYRAMAZE in July 2008 following the departure of ICED EARTH singer Matt Barlow.

Barlow handled the vocals on PYRAMAZE's last album, "Immortal", which was released in the U.S. on June 24, 2008 via Locomotive Records.

"Immortal"'s vocal sessions were helmed by producer Jim Morris, who has worked with ICED EARTH on the group's last few releases. The CD was mixed by Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR, MERCENARY).

Barlow originally joined PYRAMAZE as the replacement for Lance King who left the band in November 2006.
