QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS' 'The Cosmos Rocks' Fails To Connect With Australian Fans

September 29, 2008

According to Undercover News, the new QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS album, "The Cosmos Rocks", has failed to connect with fans in Australia. After a very ordinary debut at No. 49 last week, the CD dropped out of the Australian Top 100 in week 2.

After two full weeks on sale in Australia, "The Cosmos Rocks" has moved just 988 copies. By comparison, the two-decade-old QUEEN's "Greatest Hits" album sold 1,158 units just this week to land at No. 49.

"The Cosmos Rocks" arrived at No. 4 on the European Top 100 Albums chart. It delivered a No. 5 U.K. debut on sales of 28,000, with the group's 11-times platinum (3.3 million shipments) "Greatest Hits" collection back up 51-31, according to Billboard.
