QUEEN's 'We Will Rock You' Musical Coming To Vienna

June 6, 2007

According to a posting on Brian May's web site, QUEEN's smash hit musical "We Will Rock You", which is fashioned around 31 of QUEEN's greatest hits, will premiere at Vienna, Austria's Raimund Theater on January 24, 2008. In Vienna, a German version of the show modelled on the London production (with song lyrics mostly in English) will be performed until July 13, 2008.

"We Will Rock You" is a production by Queen Theatrical Productions/Phil McIntyre-Produktion in collaboration with Robert De Niro's Tribeca Theatrical Productions. The music and lyrics were written by QUEEN; Ben Elton is responsible for the book and the production; the musical directors are Brian May and Roger Taylor themselves.

Since the initial production started on May 2002 at the Dominion Theatre with one of the biggest stages in the West End, over three million tickets for the London original show have been sold. This makes "We Will Rock You" the longest played musical at the Dominion Theatre.
