QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: 'Era Vulgaris' Final Track Listing Revealed

April 6, 2007

Jonathan Cohen of Billboard.com reports that QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE has finalized the track list for its next album, "Era Vulgaris", due in late June or early July via Interscope. The project features 11 songs, including two cuts, "Misfit Love" and "Run Pig Run", which were not finished in time for the playback Billboard.com enjoyed last month at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

QOTSA has announced a handful of European shows around the release of "Era Vulgaris", beginning June 14 at London's Wireless Festival.

"Era Vulgaris" track listing:

01. Turning on the Screw
02. Sick, Sick, Sick
03. I'm Designer
04. Into the Hollow
05. Misfit Love
06. Battery Acid
07. Make It Wit Chu
08. 3's & 7's
09. Suture Up Your Future
10. River in the Road
11. Run Pig Run

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have reportedly hired Michael Shuman as the band's new bassist. Various online sources have reported that Shuman, formerly of Los Angeles act WIRES ON FIRE, had accepted an offer to join the QUEENS, although there's been no official confirmation. Until recently, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE had been without a permanent bass player since the dismissal of longtime member Nick Oliveri in 2004. Alain Johannes has logged the most time on the instrument for the group following Oliveri's exit.

WIRES ON FIRE issued its self-titled debut album in January and reportedly plans to continue without Shuman.
