QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE To Release Limited-Edition Single

February 15, 2011

To celebrate the reissue of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's 1998 self-titled debut, Rekords Rekords will release a very limited-edition seven-inch single featuring "How To Handle A Rope (A Lesson In The Lariat)" (taken from the aforementioned debut LP) accompanied by the B-side "Avon". Each single will be individually numbered and made available exclusively through Josh Homme's own Rekords Rekords label in partnership with Domino on February 28.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will hit the road this spring in celebration of the reissue of the group's debut album. The band announced the 20-city tour that will feature QOTSA playing the LP in its entirety.

Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster, with a pre-sale available on Thursday.

QOTSA is currently in the studio writing its first album since 2007's "Era Vulgaris". The group's guitarist Dean Fertita had previously said, "We've got so many ideas started already; I guess we'll see what turns out to be everybody's favorite. It's very much still Homme's band, but I think all of us really feel like we've found our space in it and can contribute to it as well."
