QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE To Release Live DVD

September 3, 2003

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE are in the process of compiling video footage for an upcoming DVD. Assisting them in the process is British photographer Nigel Copp, who has been traveling with QUEENS since the band formed in 1998.

"We did some professional recording and filming in England," bassist Nick Oliveri told MTV.com. "The U.K.'s been our strongest supporter, so we wanted to do it there. We did five shows throughout the U.K. We did hour-and-40-minute sets, with a couple of songs not on the records, so we have a good amount of stuff to choose from."

The as-yet-untitled DVD will likely be released before QUEENS' next album, which the band will begin recording in February.

In other news, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will shortly release a third single from their gold-selling "Songs For The Deaf" CD. "You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire" first appeared on 1999's "Desert Sessions, Vol. 5" and was written by singer/guitarist Josh Homme and Mario Lalli of stoner-rock pioneers FATSO JETSON. A video consisting of live clips will likely be pieced together by Copp, who performed similar duties on the video for the group's third single in Europe, "First It Giveth".
