QUEENSRŸCHE, CARBON 9 Featured On 'Rockin' Metal Revival'
April 20, 2009QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate and lead vocalist Stacey Quinealty of the Los Angeles band CARBON 9 are featured on the latest edition of the "Rockin' Metal Revival" show.
The program is now available for download in three parts at this location. (Note: The Geoff Tate interview can be heard during the show's second hour.)
QUEENSRŸCHE's twelfth studio LP, the epic concept album "American Soldier", was made available from Atco/Rhino on March 31 for a suggested list price of $18.98 (CD) and $9.99 (digital). The ambitious album encompasses a dozen songs inspired by numerous interviews with veterans conducted by Geoff Tate, the group's singer and chief songwriter, who was intent on telling their story using their words. After speaking with soldiers who served in various conflicts — from World War II to Iraq — Tate turned their firsthand experiences from the frontlines into an unflinching musical examination of the life of a solider and the consequences of war.
CARBON 9 released its new album, "The Bull", on February 24. Mixed by Frank Gryner (ROB ZOMBIE, A PERFECT CIRCLE, TOMMY LEE),the CD manages to balance electro rock sounds with strong pop melodies and anthemic choruses — resulting in a sound that sounds custom-made for crossover success.
Comprised of Stacey Quinealty (vocals and sequencing),Danny Cistone (backing vocals),Darwin DeVitis (guitars and vocals),Omar D. Brancato (bass and vocals),and Matty Milani (drums),CARBON 9 has sold over 5,000 copies of its earlier releases, while the band's Myspace page has over 14,000 friends signed up.
