QUEENSRŸCHE: Fall 2003 Headlining Tour Dates Announced

June 21, 2003

QUEENSRŸCHE have announced the first dates for their fall 2003 headlining tour in support of their upcoming CD, "Tribe". These shows will take place after the summer tour with DREAM THEATER and FATES WARNING and will be mostly in clubs and theaters.

Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Oct. 11 - Quest Club – Minneapolis, MN
Oct. 17 - Stranahan Theater – Toledo, OH
Oct. 18 - TBA - South Bend, IN
Oct. 19 - Embassy Centre - Fort Wayne, IN

More dates will be announced soon.

In other news, QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton posted the following entry to his online Tour Diary at his official web site, www.michaelwilton.com:

"[Day One of European tour] Flight from Seattle to New York…Middle seat. New York to Amsterdam again the middle seat… 14 hours of flying. It gets better. After going through customs there is no one to meet us. No one has an itinerary. We are a tired bunch of band and crew guys pissed off, looking for a sign that says 'QUEENSRŸCHE'. After 2 hours in the [fuckin'] airport we finally wake somebody up in the U.S. 'The promoter is supposed to pick you up' Right! We are 8 guys all wearing black…. That's pretty easy to assume that we might be a band from Seattle. No one was there 'Just tell us where the hotel is.' So we grabbed some cabs and went to the hotel. Now we are way beyond irrational. So we dumped our bags and went straight to the Red district. Todd Rockenfield said, 'Take us to the Grasshopper.' In a few minutes all our worries were gone."

QUEENSRŸCHE's new studio album, "Tribe", is due on July 22 through Sanctuary Records. One-minute MP3 samples of all of the album's 10 tracks can be downloaded from the group's official web site at this location.

The follow-up to 1999's "Q2K", which is expected to include a guest appearance by original QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Chris DeGarmo, was engineered by Scott Olson, who has worked as the "full-time right hand" to Terry Date (producer for such bands as the DEFTONES, PANTERA and LIMP BIZKIT, among others) and was mixed by Adam Kasper, whose past credits include PEARL JAM and the FOO FIGHTERS.
