QUEENSRŸCHE: First Concert Of 2006 Announced

December 17, 2005

QUEENSRŸCHE are scheduled to perform at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, Illinois on May 27, 2006, according to J.L. Bailey, president of Tel-Art Productions, who confirmed the band's appearance in an interview with The State Journal-Register.

On Friday, representatives of QUEENSRŸCHE in Chicago told The State Journal-Register the band had not been booked to play in Springfield.

Bailey, however, said he has paperwork confirming the band's appearance. He said he made the booking through a Los Angeles entertainment company.

The Prairie Capital Convention Center said contracts have been sent to Bailey for May 27 and 28.

"I don't say anything unless I have the paperwork," Bailey said.

QUEENSRŸCHE will launch a world tour in early 2006 in support of their new album, the sequel to their platinum 1988 concept album, "Operation: Mindcrime", entitled "Operation: Mindcrime II". The follow-up to 2003's "Tribe" will be released in North America on March 14, 2006 via the group's new label, Rhino Entertainment.
