QUEENSRŸCHE: Winner Of 'Take Cover' Contest To Perform With Band

Vince Solano, the winner of the "Take Cover: Sing with Queensrÿche" contest, performed on a track called "A Dead Man's Words" on the upcoming QUEENSRŸCHE album, "American Soldier".

Vince will appear live with QUEENSRŸCHE at two shows on the band's upcoming tour:

May 14 - Sayreville, NJ - Starland Ballroom
May 16 - Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues

QUEENSRŸCHE's video the new single, "If I Were King", will make its worldwide debut on March 23 via Military.com.

QUEENSRŸCHE's twelfth studio release, the epic concept album "American Soldier", will be available from Atco/Rhino on March 31 for a suggested list price of $18.98 (CD) and $9.99 (digital). The ambitious album encompasses a dozen songs inspired by numerous interviews with veterans conducted by Geoff Tate, the group's singer and chief songwriter, who was intent on telling their story using their words. After speaking with soldiers who served in various conflicts — from World War II to Iraq — Tate turned their firsthand experiences from the frontlines into an unflinching musical examination of the life of a solider and the consequences of war.

According to The Breakdown Room, AnybodyListening.net's QUEENSRŸCHE discussion forum, the band has lined up an acoustic performance for its hometown Seattle fans on Saturday, April 4.
