March 17, 2008

Guitarist Alex Grossi (QUIET RIOT, HOOKERS 'N' BLOW) will open "Alex Grossi's School Of Rock" on Monday, April 7 in Vernon, Connecticut.

Alex Grossi was born and raised in Connecticut. At age 15 he decided he wanted to be a "rock star" and has not looked back since. 16 years, over 3,000 gigs in over 15 different countries later, he is.

Alex has toured, written, performed and recorded worldwide with members of GUNS N' ROSES, KISS, QUIET RIOT, AC/DC, MTLEY CRE and SKID ROW among many others, He has also been signed to five major/independent labels, including Atlantic, Elektra, JVC and Century Media.

"I wish they had a school like this when I was first starting out," says Grossi, "I would get so excited every time I came home from Hollywood this past winter and would see the progress that was being made in the construction of the studios. Now that it's done, it's like a dream come true."

"Alex Grossi's School Of Rock" features four sound-proof rooms, including a fully equipped live recording/rehearsal studio that can accommodate any and all levels of bands, from beginner to professional."

Says Grossi: "We wanted to make the opening a big event and I was lucky enough to have Dizzy Reed of GUNS N' ROSES and Jizzy Pearl of RATT agree to come in and do a 'rock and roll seminar' to coincide with the April 7 grand opening.

"There are a lot places to take lessons," says Grossi, "but to be able to interact and ask questions to multi-platinum artists in an intimate setting is not only going to be an amazing experience for people of ALL age groups, but an inspiring one as well, not to mention a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am proud to be filling a void that has been left empty for far too long in this area."

"Alex Grossi's School Of Rock" grand opening is set for April 7 at 6:00 p.m.
