RAGE: Zlin Footage Available
March 8, 2008Fan-filmed video footage of German power metallers RAGE performing the song "Set This World On Fire" on March 7, 2008 at the Novesta Hall in Zlín, Czech Republic (as part of the Metalmania Festival) can be viewed below (courtesy of "xTEARSxOFxSORROWx").
"Carved in Stone", the new album from RAGE, recently entered the Media Control chart in the band's home country at position No. 24.
Shortly before Christmas, RAGE shot two video clips from "Carved in Stone", for the songs "Lord of the Flies" and "Open My Grave". According to the band, "while 'Lord of the Flies' is a dark and occult clip with a lot of actors and guests (like singer Jen Majura),'Open My Grave' presents more the musicians of the band on their instruments. The location was a very old basement cavity from the beginning of the 18th century, which is located under a whorehouse! You can imagine, that the boys had a couple of guests while their stay. The clips were produced by Katja Piolka, who had RAGE in front of her lenses already before."
An orchestral version of the RAGE song "Lord of the Flies", which also appears on the German group's new album, "Carved in Stone", will be featured in the new computer game Windchaser, due in May. According to the band, the new version of the track features "a bombastic arrangement and a great number of top-class guest musicians. With a well-rehearsed, classic team, the Lingua Mortis Orcherstra from Minsk, which [previously made an appearance] on [RAGE's] 'Speak of the Dead' album, and which supported RAGE at various gigs, this special orchestra version of 'Lord of the Flies' sounds like [it is being] played by a 50-member-strong rock band with classic instruments! The recordings took place in January 2008 at the Inspector Studio in Minsk (Belarus),homeland of guitarist Victor Smolski, who is responsible for arrangement and mix of the song."
