RAUNCHY Cancel Last Two SOULFLY Dates
March 6, 2006Danish modern metallers RAUNCHY have been forced to cancel the last two dates (March 9 in Munchen and March 16 in Darmstadt) of their previously announced German mini-tour as the support band for SOULFLY "due to unforeseen events beyond our control," according to a posting on the group's web site.
RAUNCHY have just released their third full-length album, "Death Pop Romance", in Europe through Lifeforce Records. The CD was recorded last summer by Jacob Hansen (MERCENARY, FEAR MY THOUGHTS, COMMUNIC) at Hansen studio in Robe, Denmark and was mixed by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios (HATESPHERE, THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC) in Aarhus, Denmark. The album marks the recording debut with the group of new singer Kasper Thomsen, who replaced Lars Vognstrup in 2004. An e-card, featuring selections from "Death Pop Romance", can be accessed at this location. A full-length MP3 of the stunning new track "Remembrance" can be downloaded here (5 MB).
RAUNCHY split with Nuclear Blast Records in January 2005 after releasing two albums through the label (2002's "Velvet Noise" and 2004's "Confusion Bay").
