RAUNCHY Completes Work On Nine New Tracks
August 6, 2007Danish metallers RAUNCHY have issued the following update:
"Time again for some news. So far nine [new] songs have taken [their] final form in our writing process and we still continue to optimize and rearrange various parts here and there in the pursuit to make things as good as possible. We've also started to record rhythm guitar and it feels good to be ahead of time for once. We're also psyched and VERY proud now to be endorsed be Schecter guitars. These fine kick-ass guitars will be a part of the future sound in RAUNCHY."
RAUNCHY vocalist Kasper Thomsen previously described the new material as "dirty, melodic, thrashy, epic, melancholic and... drum roll... heavy. We are experimenting a lot this time around, with vocals, arrangements and musical expression, but we're not gonna change radically — don't worry! But as a wise man once said: there's no point in writing the same record twice, right?" Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Straight to Hell", "Recovery", "Heavy Burden", "To the Lighthouse", "Destroyer", "Somewhere Along the Road", "Thieves", "Western Gutter", "A Dead Epic", "Black House, Glass City", "To Shatter Bliss" and "Get Fighted".
A video clip of RAUNCHY performing the track "Phantoms" from their latest album, "Death Pop Romance" on November 10, 2006 at Train in Århus, Debnmark has been posted online at YouTube.com.
"Death Pop Romance" was released last year through Lifeforce Records. The CD was recorded in the summer of 2005 by Jacob Hansen (MERCENARY, FEAR MY THOUGHTS, COMMUNIC) at Hansen studio in Robe, Denmark and was mixed by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios (HATESPHERE, THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC) in Aarhus, Denmark. The album marks the recording debut with the group of Kasper Thomsen, who replaced Lars Vognstrup in 2004. A full-length MP3 of the track "Remembrance" can be downloaded here (5 MB).
RAUNCHY split with Nuclear Blast Records in January 2005 after releasing two albums through the label (2002's "Velvet Noise" and 2004's "Confusion Bay").
