RAZORWIRE Hard At Work On New Album

May 9, 2005

British aggro-metallers RAZORWIRE are currently in the studio working on their follow up to their critically acclaimed debut, "League of the Godless" (2003). The album is being recorded at Warehouse Studios in Oxford, U.K., and is being produced by Steve "Lord of Metal" Watkins.

The as-yet-untitled CD will include the following songtitles, among others: "Hooked", "Detonate", "A Bullet Called Pride", "Full Circle", "D-Fens", "Thicker Than Water", and "Inside Out".

The album will feature 10 songs, including a track recorded in 2004 called "Dipole". A video for "Dipole" has already been shot and you can expect airplay very shortly. A sample of "Dipole" is available for download from the group's official web site, www.razorwire.info.

In other news, RAZORWIRE have announced the departure of lead guitarist Danny Carden. "Danny has left the band due to both personal and health issues," reads an official statement. "However, the split is amicable and Danny will be coming to the studio to play guitar solos on three of the new songs. The remaining four members of RAZORWIRE began recording as a four-piece, with Chris (vocals) and Charlie (drums) handling additional guitar duties. A new lead guitarist will be announced soon, and no gigs will be cancelled."
