RE:IGNITION Recording Debut Album

December 26, 2005

RE:IGNITION guitarist Steev Esquivel (also of SKINLAB) has issued the following update:

"We are currently recording our debut album, 'Empty Heart Loaded Gun'. Things have been going great! With drums having been complete for a while now, things are starting to take shape. Snake [also guitarist in SKINLAB] is nearly complete with all 14 songs. The bass tones he and Kent Matcke [METALLICA, STABBING WESTWARD] have gotten are just phenomenal! Snake has really taken the time to focus on his bass tone — as well as technique...can you say BULLFRog, ohhh, yeah!

"Guitars have been coming along too. We've spent the better part getting tones, trying out different amp combinations and dealing with sneaky Mexican radio feedback, haha, when trying to split the amps! We've since taken care of all that and have been moving forward with guitar-tracking, which by the way is coming out slammin'! Tim [Howell; ex-FUELED, SACRILEGE B.C.] and I have really done our homework and are coming in the most prepared we've ever been. The guitar tones are sounding great, just straight-up heavy as hell! Dave [Moore; ex-MINDBENDER) will be coming in next week to begin tracking his guitars as well as getting started on vocals.... YES!!

"We can't wait to get this album done and share it with everyone. People are gonna be surprised by this record, straight up! Some cool label announcements coming
soon... daaaaang, we're so close, I can taste it.

"Oh yeah, come check us out January 13 with our buds THE MERCY CLINIC and DECONSTRUCT at The Pheonix Theatre, Petaluma. Also January 31st at House Of Blues (more details TBA)."
