Record Label: MUDVAYNE To Headline 'Headbanger's Ball' Tour
August 12, 2004MUDVAYNE may headline the next "Headbanger's Ball" tour, tentatively planned for this fall, a representative at the band's record label has confirmed to Launch Radio Networks. The trek is expected to be confirmed within the next two weeks, with dates and cities to follow shortly afterward. The first news of the tour came from Dani Filth, lead singer of British goth-metal band CRADLE OF FILTH, who told Loudside.com that his band will also be joining the package.
Italian rockers LACUNA COIL, currently on Ozzfest, have also been mentioned as possible candidates for the "Headbanger's" bill.
Another band likely to appear is BLOODSIMPLE, the first signing to MUDVAYNE vocalist Chad Gray's label, called Bullygoat Records. BLOODSIMPLE, the new project featuring VISION OF DISORDER members Tim Williams (vocals) and Mike Kennedy (guitar),along with ex-MEDICATION bassist Kyle Sanders and drummer Chris Hamilton, plus guitarist Nick Rowe (guitar),are currently recording their debut album in Vancouver. MUDVAYNE entered the studio on June 22 to begin recording their third full-length album, with a release planned for this fall.
