RED HARVEST Hard At Work On New Material
June 11, 2009Norwegian metallers RED HARVEST have issued the following update:
"Yesterday we rehearsed for the first time in ages. Had a great time, and we will be back in the rehearsal room again today. Many things have happened the last months, so we are a little delayed: another RED HARVEST baby has arrived among others.
"Anyway, we have pre-produced pretty much for a new release and things looks stable enough to pick up these pieces and work on them. We are also slowly rebuilding our live set, so hopefully we will be on stage a bit more often in the future (probably in the fall)."
An e-card for RED HARVEST's "The Red Line Archives" album can be found at this location.
The CD, which was released in Norway on April 14, 2008 and the rest of Europe on May 12, 2008 contains "something new, something old, something borrowed, something cold," according to the band.
RED HARVEST was nominated in the "Metal" category at the 36th annual Spellemann awards (the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards). The largest and oldest Norwegian music awards show was held on February 2, 2008 at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway and was broadcast live on the Norwegian channel TV2.
RED HARVEST's latest album, "A Greater Darkness", was released in February 2007 via Season of Mist. The follow-up to 2004's "Internal Punishment Programs" was recorded at Multimono studio.
RED HARVEST released a live DVD, "Harvest Bloody Harvest", on September 18, 2006. The disc features the group's entire September 2005 gig at Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo that was recorded with a professional, 12-camera film team. The DVD comes in a limited deluxe metal box.
