RED RIVER REVIVAL Preparing For EP Release

July 31, 2008

RED RIVER REVIVAL, the new band featuring former members of SUPERJOINT RITUAL and ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER, has issued the following update:

"We are happy to announce that our debut five-song EP will soon be available. We had the incredible fortune of having Jeff Tomei, world-famous cool guy, who's had a heaping, helping hand in the construction of some serious musical masterpieces, from C.O.C. to SMASHING PUMPKINS, to JERRY CANTRELL, JACKYL, and about a zillion records for MATCHBOX 20, the brother has done it all. We want to thank him for adding his talents to the RED RIVER REVIVAL. Please enjoy these songs, and look for us live in your town soon."

RED RIVER REVIVAL is:

Kevin Bond (SUPERJOINT RITUAL) - Guitar
D Wayne Slocum (ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER) - Vocals
Rev. James Atwell (MOSES JONES) - Guitar/Vocals
Dave Eidson (GATES OF BERLIN) - Drums
Avery G (THE RANCH HANDS) – Bass

In a recent interview with Nonelouder, Slocum stated about the band's sound, "RED RIVER REVIVAL is boogie rock! Lots of melody and soul, preachin' and hollerin'. Heavy blues is what I think best describes us. Kevin Bond has written some really cool stuff, very ZZ TOP. Kevin didn't write any of the SUPERJOINT stuff, so I think people will be surprised to hear what style he actually represents. James Atwell is a fantastic singer/slide player. He and I have been working very hard to make the best music possible. People are already saying that RED RIVER REVIVAL is better than ARTIMUS."

RED RIVER REVIVAL's first live performance will take place on September 20 in Marietta, Georgia.
