Report: AEROSMITH's STEVEN TYLER Plots Solo Project, JOE PERRY Fumes

August 4, 2004

Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com is reporting that AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler is starting work on his first individual album ever. Friedman says that lead guitarist Joe Perry, who has been with Tyler in the group for more than 30 years, wasn't happy to hear the news. "He went crazy," a source cited by Friedman revealed.

AEROSMITH's most recent long-player, "Honkin' on Bobo", billed as a blues record, was a sales disappointment. The group's last hit single, "Jaded", was in 2001.
