Report: Coroner Trying To Determine Cause Of QUIET RIOT Singer's Death
November 26, 2007TMZ.com reports that Las Vegas Metro Police has confirmed that Kevin DuBrow, lead singer for '80s metal band QUIET RIOT, was found dead in his Las Vegas home.
According to TMZ.com, one of DuBrow's neighbors found the vocalist Sunday (November 25) around 5:20 p.m. The Clark County Coroner has confirmed that they are currently examining DuBrow's body to try to determine the cause of death.
Fellow bandmember Frankie Banali posted this message on his web site: "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow."
QUIET RIOT was the first metal band to top the Billboard chart and is perhaps best known for its cover of SLADE's "Cum on Feel the Noize".
In 2004, DuBrow recorded a collection of cover versions for his first solo album, "In for the Kill".
QUIET RIOT's latest studio CD, "Rehab", was released on October 3, 2006. The lineup on the album was Kevin DuBrow, Frankie Banali, Tony Franklin and Neil Citron. Legendary singer Glenn Hughes also made a guest vocal appearance on the LP.
