Report: DAVID LEE ROTH Impersonator Has Troubled History
July 16, 2008Ontario, Canada's Simcoe Reformer reports: The Cambridge man who was posing as David Lee Roth in Brantford and area last month has a history of mesmerizing people to do his will.
The Roth impersonator was portrayed during a 1989 murder trial as a Svengali who successfully urged one girlfriend to kill another.
Brant OPP stopped the man, who was having an allergic reaction to nuts in a doughnut he had eaten, for speeding on May 23. He identified himself to police as David Lee Roth and was quickly whisked off by ambulance to Brantford General Hospital.
Later that evening, the man partied at the Liquid Lounge, posing for pictures and identifying himself as Roth.
But the real Roth was making a very public appearance that night at Madison Square Garden in New York City on the VAN HALEN tour.
