Report: GODSMACK Confirmed For METALLICA's North American Tour

GODSMACK have been confirmed as the opening act on METALLICA's upcoming North American tour, according to Billboard.com. The trek will begin March 2 in Phoenix. Other confirmed dates include March 8 in San Francisco and March 28 in Seattle. The first batch of ticket on-sales will begin Saturday (Dec. 20) via Ticketmaster.

METALLICA are touring in support of their latest Elektra album, "St. Anger", which has sold 1.5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The latest single from the set, "The Unnamed Feeling", will be released as a seven-track EP Jan. 12 in the U.K.
