Report: LORDI Come Close To Collapsing At METAL HAMMER AWARDS

ITN is reporting that Finnish heavy metal monsters LORDI proved they were hot stuff — by nearly overheating in their trademark horror costumes.

The Eurovision winners came close to collapsing at the Metal Hammer Awards as temperatures hit forty degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Koko club, London.

The Finns had to be hosed down after accepting the Spirit of the Hammer award at the lavish metalheads' bash.

Reports quoted fans as saying the venue was "like being inside an oven".

One said: "Sweat was dripping from the walls so God only knows how they didn't pass out".

The Finnish band were the surprise winners at the Eurovision Song Contest this year.
