Report: SHARON OSBOURNE Fears U.K. Mansion Is 'Cursed' Following Latest Blaze

July 7, 2006

ContactMusic.com is reporting that Sharon Osbourne broke down on the set of U.K. talent show "The X Factor" when she heard her English country mansion had been struck by a fire yesterday (July 6) — insisting her family may be "cursed." The wife/manager of BLACK SABBATH frontman Ozzy Osbourne received a call from daughter Kelly, who was reportedly asleep in the house when a suspected electrical fault in a lamp started the blaze at approximately 7:00 a.m. A spokesperson for the Osbournes insists "it's no big deal," but it still left Sharon fearing that more disasters may be looming. An "insider" says, "When the judges took a break there was a message for Sharon. When she rang Kelly, she started crying. She said her house was on fire but Kelly wouldn't say how bad it was. Simon just told her to go home." The distraught presenter was overheard telling a friend she feared the family had been "cursed."

In March 2005, a fire broke out in the Osbournes' living room while they slept, according to the BBC News.

The couple escaped to the garden, rescuing their pets as the fled.

Ozzy Osbourne tackled an intruder at his home in November 2004, before the man jumped from a first-floor window and escaped with jewelry believed to be worth about £2m.

Osbourne had suffered a near-fatal quad bike accident in the house's grounds in December 2003.
